April the 11th. I`ve just arrived to Spain form Berlin where I´ve spend five great days sightseeing the city. Berlin is an interesting place with an history of our days that you can feel in the streets and breath with the air. The love night life too, and I promise come back ASAP to enjoy the best pop, rock and electronic pubs. I must leave London for a while.

There isn´t time to rest, Wednesday is coming quickly and is the day when “LA HABITACIÓN ROJA” is playing in the Heinken Arena their last Long Play called “Universal”, that sounds more than good. Nice show by the band from Valencia, who play cool pop with powerful guitars instants since their first steps, a long time ago. Their live concerts don’t surprise anyone cause they do the same show every tour, but it´s interesting enough to watch them again and again they play.

April the 17th, another Saturday night in the Ke Kaña Pub. One of the greatest nights in the temple, maybe the greatest one? The line up was SUPERSUBMARINA + SUPERFRAME VDj`s. I can`t find the words…
Supersubmarina, the band from Baeza (Jaén), aren´t a few friends who spend their free time playing music together, now they are one of the bands with a shining and hopeless future, maybe a great band if their second record will be succesfuly. They are touring around spain and and getting sold out everywhere they go. Even in Madrid and Barcelona.
If you don`t know the band, they sing in Spanish language with interesting lyrics talking about true love, lovers of a night, break away your mate… but it seems like new, original, cool… Bass and drums sounds like bands who we love here, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, and the lead guitar has something of Editor or Interpol.
It was the third time they came to KeKaña and, for first time, half hundred people stayed out. Supersubmarina plays an energetic and powerful concert, just like if they wanna eat the world. Later Superframe Vdj`s kept the people dancing all night long.

In Monday evening I feel not too bad, but a beautiful hangover pumping my head and kicks my body, but we must be strong cause SONIC YOUTH are playing in The Riviera Arena. There are a great expectations to see the band who was born in the early 80`s and three decades later they are leyend. Long songs with a few vocal minutes, powerful drums and guitar riffs looping they catch the audience along the concert.
Finally they did a good concert but an hour and half was shorter than everybody thought, if you bear in mind they have around seventeen LP…

These three crazy weeks were over the thrusday 22th, with the SECOND Joy Eslava´s gig. Joy Eslava was a theatre and it has one of the best acoustic between the music lounges in Madrid. By the night it becomes a modern disco where some of the Real Madrid Football team players take a brake to find their “spirits”.
Second is a spanish band from Murcia who won the Global Battle of the Bands European and World Edition in 2004.
After touring whole Spain for a year, that was their last gig and everything on the stage looks like the concert will be recorded in a DVD released in a few months.
They sound amazing maybe the best I heard ever for a Spanish band. The singer is one of the best and the band are not too bad. They are really good but something must be wrong when the crowd aren`t warm enough at the end, I don´t know why but it happened…
