This post begins with the unfortunate comment on last post by my dear friend Cachici, and I quote paraphrasing his words: Parra you’ve no idea, Russian Red is a girl, her name is Lourditas and she is a singer-songwrtiter, she is not cool any more and she is not that good, so that would be: I listen to her a lot and she is a dushbag!

No doubt about Cachichi’s knowledge about music because he knows tons about that, but I have to complain about the way he underestimate this band’s work that takes quite the same effort as some other local -I mean Spanish- bands. I think the comment has his roots in the way he likes “pret a porter” style and no video or songs quality. I not a really big fan of these local bands, I’ve never was and its not the time to be, but let me say that I have to considerate this effort now. Well, now is the moment in which I compare them to other local band, Vetusta Morla. I knew them this summer and frankly they wasn’t that good, some almost cute guys that sing good enough. So, are they really brand new stuff? I always compare like Oasis-Blur, Coldplay-U2, Beatles-Rolling Stones…, but the truth is that we live in a maniquean world of binaries so is not that bad if we compare some peers.

Therefore I do not understand his comment and the way he is listing two ways of differentiate and compare them with not the same standards. No way man, lets do it equally. By the way I take this chance to play a video of Vetusta, but I ask myself; What are they doing new? It reminds me a video from the forgotten, and you can imagine why, The Killers.
