Our good friend Germán reports from the Criticona in Madrid, a global bicycle Critical Mass that took over the streets of Madrid last Saturday. After meeting in La Plaza de la Cibeles, the traditional meeting point for the local Critical Mass, over 5000 riders cycled for over 4 hours all over the town, claiming the streets for the bicycles, making Madrid a more bicycle friendly place for a few hours.
As is always the case in Madrid’s Critical Mass, it was a huge celebration of freedom and sustainability, with life music and many colours to reshape the car centered capital of Spain. The ride finished peacefully and was the final
event of a three day long celebration of the Critical Mass and cycling in Madrid
