Primer post sobre nuestro paso por el Rock Werchter 2009. Y por supuesto, no va a hablar de música, sino de las anécdotas que hacen que un festival sea bueno, o la hostia. El colega de la foto es Alastair, un escocés que conocí en mitad del festival y que nos ha mandado esta foto. La historia detrás de la imagen es la siguiente:

Estaba yo, con mi pedo cervecero, danzando mientras escuchábamos de lejos a Katy Perry cantar en la carpa que se ve de fondo. Y ahí que vi a este chico luciendo la camiseta de “Scotland’s for me!” Ese diseño me trae mucho recuerdos de mi infancia y de mi otra tierra, Escocia. Brindé con él, y como los escoceses son gente tan maja, nos pusimos a charlar. Al cabo de un rato le dije que si nos cambiábamos las camisetas y la cerveza hizo el resto. Un abrazo, una foto y a seguir de fiesta, tan contento con mi nueva camiseta de Belle&Sebastian. Muchas gracias Alastair.

This is our first post about Rock Werchter. More will follow were we will discuss the music, but today I’m going to share with you one of those wee stories that mark the difference between a good festival and a classic one. The lad in the photo is Alastair, a Scot I met in Werchter. He sent us this picture and here is the story behind the image:

Katy Perry was playing in the marquee -in the background- and we were sitting out side listening to it. In fact I was standing with a beer in my hand pretending to dance, when I spotted a chap with a very cool T-shirt with the “Scotland’s for me!” design. We said cheers and shared a couple of beers and chatted for a while -Scots are such nice people! I told him how that design brings back memories of my childhood and my second home, Scotland. I then offered to exchange T-shirts and beer took care of the rest. We exchanged email addresses, shook hands and went on partying, this time with a very cool Belle&Sebastian T-shirt. Cheers Alastair!
